The discovery of two photograph albums with some rather rare photographs of cricket between Argentina and Brazil was the catalyst for A snapshot of South American cricket rivalry. It focuses on the three series that were played between the two countries between 1921/22 and 1927/28. The book contains summaries of the Tests together with detailed pen pictures of the players involved and overall gives a snapshot of the state of South American cricket of the period. Nearly 40 photographs, including one or two that show the tourists in relaxed mood away from the cricket field, adorn this most unusual and entertaining book.
