‘The first recorded cricket in Rajputana was played between Mayo College and the Government College at Ajmer, a major city directly administered by the British Raj, in 1887... The furore over the cancellation of the Rajputana tour must have simmered for some time and the Board became unpopular with the public. Eventually De Mello appreciated this situation and he relented and allowed the tour to proceed in May and June 1938, with the backing of the Board, who, however, did very little to guarantee its success.’
Minor wear, no inscriptions, overall, in very good condition.
